From 2016 to 2018, Ariadne Network (Ariadne – European Funders for Social Change and Human Rights) and independent researchers, Karin Heisecke and Karen Weisblatt, undertook research into philanthropic activities aimed at initiatives to combat violence against women in Europe. Slovak-Czech Women's Fund together with other women’s funds from the European region participated in the research providing set of crucial information on this issue.
Research on the nature of philanthropic engagement in favor of the eradication of violence against women is one of the first in the European context. The report was intended to build a space for further reflection and discusses the possibilities and roles that can be played by funds and foundations in the eradication of violence against women.
The research report can be found on the Ariadne Network website under the title Ending Violence Against Women in Europe: An Exploration of Philanthropic Giving.
